By using bituminous emulsion KE-1 (instead of bituminous solution or bituminous asphalt), a low application temperature of 10-60ºC is ensured, thus reducing the risk of ignition. Accordingly, the application temperatures in bituminous solution and pure bitumen are 100-135ºC and 135-175ºC. Also, the emulsion exhibits much better adhesion due to the small size of the asphalt particles that are dispersed.
