BITUGUM SEALER No2 is a bituminous cold applied flexible joint sealant consisting of bitumen, elastomeric polymers, mineral fibers, special additives and solvent.The film which is formed after the evaporation of solvents is not affected by thin acids, alkalis solutions and other corrosive chemicals. It does not resist to oils.
USAGE
BITUGUM SEALER No2 can be applied to many substrates such as concrete, stone, metal or wood. It is compatible with polyurethane but not with polystyrene.
BITUGUM SEALER No2 is an excellent sealing material for vertical joints. It is suitable for sealing joints in flashings, guttering, sheet laps and also for the adhesion of bituminous tiles (shingles).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Surface preparation
The surface must be smooth, clean and dry, free from dust, oils and grease.
Application
BITUGUM SEALER No2 is cold applied by trowel.
To achieve a better adhesion, it is recommended to use the bituminous primer EXTRALAC PRIMER before the application of BITUGUM SEALER No2. When BITUGUM SEALER No2 is under direct sun radiation it is advisable to be protected by bituminous aluminium paint ALUCOAT to extent its life span and avoid premature ageing.
CLEANING
It can be achieved by means of gasoline, oil, or other appropriate solvent.
PRECAUTIONS
BITUGUM SEALER No2 is flammable therefore it should be kept away from any sources of ignition.

STORAGE
The product should be kept in firmly closed cans, in a cool and well ventilated environment. The properties of the product remain unchangeable for at least one year in normal storage conditions.
PACKAGING
The product is supplied in cans of 5 kg and 20 kg.
